About

I didn’t expect St. John Baptist de La Salle to show up at my daughter’s softball tournament… but here we are. We were in Winona, MN for the NCAA DIII games at Saint Mary’s University, just there for the sport. But between games, I wandered the campus and found a sculpture called Stairway to the Stars. What started as a quick walk turned into a deep moment of reflection — about life, faith, and how God meets us in the most unexpected places. d 🕊️ World Day of Prayer for Vocations | Sunday, May 11 🕊️ Today, the Church around the world unites in prayer for vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life. 🙏 💛 Take a moment to pray for the priests who have ministered to you—those who baptized you, heard your confession, brought you the Eucharist, and stood with you through life’s joys and sorrows. ✨ Pray for those who have said “yes” to Jesus, and for those still discerning His call. 📿 “The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few.” (Luke 10:2) Lord, send laborers into Your harvest! 🙏 Habemus Papam! Welcome, Pope Leo XIV! 🇻🇦 We celebrate the election of our new Holy Father—Pope Leo XIV, the first American pope in the history of the Church! 🕊️ In his first address, he shared that he is “a son of Saint Augustine,” whose restless heart found peace in God. For those of us formed by Augustine’s wisdom and love for truth, this is a powerful sign of hope. Now, Pope Leo XIV steps into the shoes of Peter, called by Christ to “strengthen your brethren” (Luke 22:32). Let us unite in prayer for him—that he may lead the Church with wisdom, holiness, and courage. As St. Paul reminded us: “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thess 5:17). Let’s support our new Holy Father not only in word but in constant prayer. 🙏 In this Jubilee Year of Hope, may our hearts be filled with confidence and joy. God is faithful. Christ is with His Church. And with Pope Leo XIV, we move forward together in faith, hope, and love. 💙 Our Lady, Mother of the Church—pray for him, and for all of us!
